The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESA) is participating in the Renewable Energy Central America Week (RECAM Wek), organized by The Green Power Conferences of England, which aims to generate knowledge and discussion about investment on renewable energy.
"Our participation in the RECAM WEEK is very important, because we can collaborate, on behalf of the Government of El Salvador, to put our country on the energy investments map", president of PROESA, Sigfrido Reyes, said.
During the event, PROESA is also promoting the bidding process of 150 MW of non-conventional renewable energy, in the solar photovoltaic and wind energies. In addition, PROESA will identify investment projects in the electricity sector in neighboring countries and their policies to attract investments in energy projects.
PROESA will participate on the discussion panel called "What are the opportunities in solar energy in Central America?", where PROESA will present the advantages of investing in El Salvador.
Other topics discussed are identification of markets that provide more solar energy opportunities, energy prices, energy structure, impact of energy prices, supply and demand in the energy sector. PROESA participates along with representatives from Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
RECAM WEEK is taking place in the city of Panama, from 29 February to 4 March.
