The government of El Salvador, through the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador  (PROESA, by its initials in Spanish), pledged to support the electricity generation and distribution company AES El Salvador in the achievement of the third phase of Bósforo, a photovoltaic solar energy project that will benefit close to a hundred thousand households in the country.

“We will be supporting AES El Salvador in whatever it is that they need in order to realize their investment projects”, assured Salvador Gómez Góchez, president of PROESA, to a company delegation composed by Miguel Campos, Market director of AES El Salvador; John Davenport, Development director; and Rodrigo Sandoval, director of AES solutions.

During a meeting held with PROESA, AES El Salvador committed itself to finish the third phase of Bósforo before the closing of the first hundred days of the government of the president of the Republic, Nayib Bukele. This third and last phase will carry an investment of $47 million.

Bósforo executes itself along with the Multi Investment Corporation (CMI by its initials in Spanish) and by the end of its construction, after an investment of US$ 160 million, it will generate 100 megawatts (MW) of energy, through 10 plants of 10 MW each.
