PROESA promotes business confidence with a footwear company

This week, the president of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known as PROESA) Salvador Gómez Góchez, met with members representing Industrias Caricia S.A de C.V, a light manufacturing company, located in Soyapango. The firm specializes in the production and marketing of footwear.

 

The purpose of the visit was supporting companies with export potential, such as Industrias Caricia, to continue growing nationally and internationally. Also, the long-term projections and operation of this company were known first hand.

 

“Thank you for letting us to enter into the privacy of your company, we are encouraged to continue advancing in the restore of the confidence of entrepreneurs. PROESA is at your disposal to support you in positioning your products in new international markets”, Gómez Góchez said.

 

For his part, Guillermo Egan, president of Industrias Caricia, thanked president Salvador Gómez Góchez for his attendance, while mentioned: “We have better opportunities with the management of president Nayib Bukele. We open the door of our company for working together and continue contributing to the development of the country in the employment creation”.

 

During the meeting, the head of PROESA promoted the benefits of virtual business rounds with potential foreign buyers, since "they allow entrepreneurs to promote their products from our installations and do business." This initiative is an effort that PROESA is executing on behalf of president Nayib Bukele, with the aim of improving the promotion of the country's exportable offer.

 

Industrias Caricia began its operations as a small workshop for slippers. Over time, it became a flexible and skilled company in the production of any type of footwear. It currently employs 880 Salvadorans and sells about 200 different shoe designs. It has extended its product lines to become one of the largest factories in El Salvador.

 

Finally, president Salvador Gómez Góchez reaffirmed PROESA's commitment to accompany Salvadoran firms in their expansion plans, to help them look for new markets and increase their competitiveness.
