VENTUS, developer of the 54 MW Wind Farm, as a socially responsible company and in solidarity with El Salvador and fulfilling the commitment of donating 100,000 KN95 masks, they delivered them to the Salvadoran Government and the Ministry of Health, joining the effort that the authorities are making to combat the epidemic of COVID-19.

The donation was delivered in the presence of authorities from the Ministry of Health and VENTUS representatives on Thursday, May 28 at the Ministry of Health warehouse. “This is a small sample of the commitment that we as investors have with El Salvador. In VENTUS we are proud to be able to show solidarity with all the Salvadoran people and to be able to contribute our grain of sand with the delivery of these 100.00 KN95 masks to support the mitigation and prevention of COVID-19. ”, expressed Fátima Guardado, representative of VENTUS. “As the Government of the Republic, now more than ever, our priority is the health of each Salvadoran, that is why we appreciate the support of VENTUS, which helps us to be even more effective in attention to this emergency and in the prevention of contagion among the population in the best way possible ”, said Francisco Alabí Montoya, Minister of Health, during the signing of the support agreement between the Salvadoran Government and Ventus.

The KN95 masks that were delivered will fulfill the function of forming a seal protector around the mouth filtering at least 95% of the particles in the air, which makes them necessary to avoid possible contagion in the respiratory tract due to the threats of contagion of the virus.

Likewise, VENTUS continues to implement an approach to its social development plan in the municipality of Metapán to counteract the effects of COVID-19, in addition to the social support commitments already acquired by the company since the beginning of the development of its Wind Project.
