Nearly 150 representatives of 80 Salvadoran exporting firms and with exporting potential received training today regarding trends and use of sustainable packaging and its global importance, through a conference held by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESA, by its initials in spanish) and the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development (FUSADES, by its initials in spanish) through its PROINNOVA program.   The event counted on the presence of enterprises belonging to the sectors of packaging industries, chemical- pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care and food / beverages. They received training in topics regarding to trends in the use of biodegradable and sustainable packaging, terms of degradation in packaging, specialized services for export, evidence of plastic contamination and introduction to prohibitive plastic regulations parallel to applicable standards to biodegradation and composting as well as sustainability, certifications and their requirements.   The attendees will have the opportunity to subsequently work with PROESA on aspects such as the identification of the need to joint proceedings with associations, in order to develop the sector for export; and mapping of a route that helps to improve the productive sectors involved. The general manager of the salvadoran firm Termoencogibles recognized the efforts of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESA, by its initials in spanish) in support of export promotion.   “We just made use of the services provided by PROESA in Mexico, last week. Let me tell you that the change was remarkably positive and the service was premium quality. They walk us personally to meetings we would never be able to achieve. The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESA, by its initials in spanish) stated this morning, in the presence of the exporting community, diverse proposals for the promotion of national exports.   The development of aquaculture production networks, creation of sectoral value chains for export, execution of a program of virtual negotiation rounds and execution of business rounds with suppliers were part of these proposals.   This took place in the context of the holding of the XIV Export Forum, developed by the Corporation of Exporters of El Salvador (COEXPORT), executed under the maxim: "Boosting exports for economic growth". The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESA, by its initials in spanish) will present the advantages and opportunities that our country offers to invest and create business and trade in the Dubai Expo 2020, the largest business exhibit in the world on this matter.   In order to achieve the best execution in the task, the president of PROESA, Salvador Gómez Góchez, along with the autonomous Investment Management team, is now in Dubai city, Arab Emirates, being trained to fulfill this assignment.   The Dubai Expo will be held in the city of Dubai, from October 20th, 2020 to April 10th, 2021 and will count with the attendance of 190 nations throughout the globe.   Opportunity, mobility and sustainability will be the main topics addressed in the event, as principal axes to economic growth. The government of El Salvador, through the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador  (PROESA, by its initials in Spanish), pledged to support the electricity generation and distribution company AES El Salvador in the achievement of the third phase of Bósforo, a photovoltaic solar energy project that will benefit close to a hundred thousand households in the country.   “We will be supporting AES El Salvador in whatever it is that they need in order to realize their investment projects”, assured Salvador Gómez Góchez, president of PROESA, to a company delegation composed by Miguel Campos, Market director of AES El Salvador; John Davenport, Development director; and Rodrigo Sandoval, director of AES solutions.   During a meeting held with PROESA, AES El Salvador committed itself to finish the third phase of Bósforo before the closing of the first hundred days of the government of the president of the Republic, Nayib Bukele. Last week, a total of twelve companies representing of the Services sector were trained by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESA by its initials in spanish) in diverse techniques to prevent fraud in international trading.   The participating firms belong to the areas of software development, human talent, advertising, marketing and energy distribution.   The lecture counted with the support of two strategic partners of PROESA such as Start Offices, and Business Operations Outsourcing and Consulting Services (BOOCS). The first company is dedicated to provide workspaces that adapt to corporate growth, and the second one offers financial consulting services to local businesses and subsidiary companies of foreign firms that operate in El Salvador.   This informative talk joined the list of activities that PROESA foresees to be executed by the Export Development Direction, in order to train and qualify exporting companies and with exporting potential. Companies originated from the People’s Republic of China, belonging to the Telecommunications, Energy, Logistic and Infrastructure industries, interested in investing in El Salvador, learned yesterday about the opportunities of doing commerce and investing in our country. These were set out by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (PROESA).   The president of PROESA, Salvador Gómez Góchez, stated, as well, that there is an interest from both countries in diversifying the bilateral commerce, not only in traditional products, like coffee or sugar, but in products with a high export potential, like balsam, cacao, among others.   On his behalf, Yu Jianlong, general secretary of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) expressed that there are big opportunities in the exchange of goods regarding nostalgic products like coffee, sugar and honey. Likewise, he stated that they want to diversity the products that will be part of the imports of the Chinese market.   Within the Chinese companies that visit El Salvador are: China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd., China Huadian Corporation Ltd.,SINOTRANS & CSC Holding Co. More than a thousand jobs have been generated by Aeroman, due to the construction of its sixth hangar, located in the International Airport Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez.
